THE Suva rugby team will tighten their defence when they host Navosa in round four of the 2018 Skipper Cup at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Saturday. Suva manager Ulaiasi Verevou said they want to improve their defence and would not underestimate Navosa.

“We are aware of players who would be playing for Navosa and we do not underestimate them since we know that majority had played in the Nadroga competition and we know their capability,” Verevou said.

“We have been working on our defence, line-outs and our attack where we have seen the weaknesses after playing Namosi last weekend. “Our coaches Saiasi Fuli and Jope Tuikabe have been working on these areas with the players for the crucial match.”

Suva is ranked third on the points table behind leaders Naitaisiri and Nadroga.

“There were some weak areas where we were exposed by Namosi and we need to tighten those areas so we can win the game against Navosa.

It was a close game against Namosi.

“The season is coming to the elimination rounds so we would be giving more game time to the reserve players where they can showcase their talents against Navosa,” he said.

The match kicks off at 3pm.
