The Suva Volleyball Association continued its third round of friendly games as a build-up continued to its first knockout tournament next month.
Games commissioner Iliesa Raketekete said competition was running smoothly as teams tested each other and looked for game time.
“We have a lot of youth teams, and competition has been great,” Raketekete said.
Raketekete said for much of the new teams playing, like service teams Police and Army was a boost.
“With teams from Police and Army in the competition it’s a learning experience for some of the new teams, some of which are very competitive.”
With Fiji Day around the corner, Raketekete said they were yet to finalise a date to hold their first knockout tournament, because they were looking for a date where all teams would be available.
“We are just checking for a convenient date, so teams that want to play do play, with Fiji day our service teams will not be available, so we are working on finding a suitable date.”
