THE NewWorld Suva Netball Association teams are coming out in full force to try and retain their titles in the Inder-District Netball championship that will be held on August 10-11 at the multipurpose courts in Lautoka.

The Capital City side has registered six teams to represent the association this year.

NewWorld Suva Netball Association A grade manager, Kalisita Mar said they had three teams the previous year and would be taking six this year.

“We are sending down more teams this year because of exposure.

We want to expose our players mostly the young ones,” Mar said.

“The teams are preparing well for the championship and we are hoping to retain all our titles this year. “The preparations so far have been good. We’ve just finished our weekly competition so the girls are physically ready for their game. “We also have a handful of experienced players who are also helping the young ones in the process,” Mar said.

“We are so thankful to our sponsors, NewWorld who have jumped on board and have made this possible.”

Suva will be represented by two major A grade teams, two minor teams and two under-18 teams.
