A boost for the Suva Rugby Union club competition with Digicel Fiji signing as major sponsors on a three year contract today at the Digicel head office in Nabua.
Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Farid Mohammed said it was exciting times for them, joining Suva Rugby as sponsors.
We are delighted to be a part of this once again and very much excited to be a part of what rugby brings,” said Mohammed.
SRU chairman Asaeli Rokoura aired similar sentiments with the sponsorship to provide the platform in bringing forward for Suva elite rugby players for the nation.
“Suva has groomed national players who have represented Fiji both in 7s and 15s on the international stage,” said Rokoura.
“This partnership will assist the SRU to run club competitions and further develop players and officials for Fiji’s number one sport.”
The Digicel Escott Shield and Digicel Koroturaga championship kicks off tomorrow in Suva.
