The Capital City side has been preparing for two weeks as the side looks to book a place in the 2021 OFC Champions League despite the loss of some key players.

Former national stopper Simione Tamanisau, rugged defenders Laisenia Raura and Waisake Navunigasau plus stylish Solomon Islander Gagame Feni will be missing from the squad this year.

Tamanisau and Navunigasau have shown interest to feature for the Delta Tigers.

Raura is back to his former district Ba and Feni will appear for the ABM Galaxy FC of Vanuatu.

Michael Oyesanya and Jibola Afonja are two Nigerian soccer players expected to feature for the Capital City boys this year.

Lami trio Manasa Levaci, Ravnit Chand and Kalisito Bonawai, Nasinu’s Semi Matalau and Isikeli Ratucava, and Tavua duo Waisake Soga and Nacanieli Ratu have sought a transfer request to feature for the Capital City boys.

Suva finished the 2019 Vodafone Premier League at third place amassing 23 points.

The 43rd version of the National Football League will commence on Saturday, February 01, 2020, with reigning local football champions Standard Hire Labasa playing the Capital City boys at Subrail Park.
