CHILD care has been one of the contributing factor towards Fiji National Provident Fund employees taking family leave.

This was part of findings facilitated by the International Finance Corporation, Fiji Human Resources Institute and FNPF on child survey.

Speaking at the CEOs breakfast in Suva this morning, FNPF general manager – human resources, Ravinesh Kumar said the survey also focused on the organisation’s transformation.

“What we quickly analysed was the family care leave,” he said.

“Although we don’t have much control over it, but we tried to understand what is the reasons for family leave that has been taken by employees.

“We were able to establish that a significant amount of family care leave has been around child care from parents.”

He said the survey had come at right time where the organisation was trying to detect the issues faced employees.
