NATIONAL carrier Fiji Airways is rising to greater heights after winning two awards at the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards on Saturday.

Team Fiji Airways was crowned the winner in the Vodafone sponsored Excellence in E-Commerce category, before taking out the coveted Fiji Water sponsored Supreme Award.

Fiji Airways executive GM corporate Shaenaz Voss said they were delighted with the win.

“Winning an award of this magnitude doesn’t just happen, it requires a lot of dedication and an award like this happens with great leadership,” she said.

Ms Voss thanked the airline managing director and CEO Andre Viljoen and the chairman and the board of directors for their leadership.

“Nothing happens without a great team and the great team at Fiji Airways make it happen and of course the industry partners, the tourism industry and every stakeholder that works with Fiji Airways and most importantly, the Government of Fiji.”

According to Ms Voss, the support for Fiji Airways from Government was unwavering.

“As a commercial entity, we do what we need to but without their support, we couldn’t do it.

Our line ministry of civil aviation, we would like to thank the Minister for Civil Aviation and also all Fijians for helping us progress the airline.”
