RAIWAQA Basketball Association president Ruben Colata yesterday received a gift from the Fiji Sports Commission to help in the development of basketball in the area.

Colata says that this giftv would greatly assist in the development of basketball in Raiwaqa.

“Raiwaqa Basketball Association is the largest basketball association in Fiji and produces the highest number of national players in the sport,” he said.

“The gift has come in a timely manner as RBA kicks off its Easter Interlane competition this afternoon and will continue throughout the Easter weekend.”

The competition will host 10 men’s and six women’s teams from around the greater Suva area as they also prepare for the national championships in April.
