PACIFIC music superstar Kali-D will release his latest single ‘Be My Love’ this week in Fiji.
Speaking to The Fiji Times yesterday, the 27-year-old Papua New Guinea native, who has amassed millions of views on YouTube and a massive following across the region, said Fijians would be the first to hear his latest song.
Kali-D is in the country with international artist Iyaz and DJ Victor.
The trio will perform tonight at Onyx Platinum Nightclub in Suva.
“It’s a huge thrill to finally be in Fiji and it’s even more amazing to know that I have a lot of fans here,” he shared.
“And as a way of giving back to my Fijian fans, I will release my latest single Be My Love and shoot the music video for the song right here in Fiji.” For Iyaz, coming to Fiji was a “dream come true”.
“This place reminds me so much of the British Virgin Islands where I grew up, one minute there’s sunshine and the next there’s rain.
“I love the people, I love the vibe here and we are so looking forward to performing at Onyx Platinum tomorrow night (tonight).”
Iyaz thanked the Fijian people for supporting his and Kali-D’s music and urged fans to turn up in numbers at Onyx Platinum tonight.
“If you are somebody who has supported me and Kali-D, if you have streamed our music and watched our videos and written on our walls – if you have done all of that, we thank you but don’t stop there.
“You got to come out tomorrow night (tonight) and actually see us perform live and direct.”
