Sukuna Bowl promise

Update: 2:36PM ORGANISERS of the 2016 ANZ Ratu Sukuna Bowl tournament have promised that their upcoming four-day tournament would be the biggest ever with the new inclusion of rugby league to their lists of sports competition.

Ratu Sukuna Bowl Organising Committee member Captain Neumi Vakadewabuka said the tournament would be hosted by the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces.

“Both camps are preparing their teams well and we are expecting a huge turn-out in comparison to the past years,” Cpt Vakadewabuka said in an interview at the launch of the 65th Sukuna Bowl.

He said the service men and women including the wives of both the Fiji Police and the RFMF would be competing in eight different sports.

“This year we have cricket, volleyball, soccer, netball, boxing, golf, rugby league and rugby unions.”

The launch was attended by some high ranking officers of the RFMF and the Fiji Police, alongside officials from the gold sponsors ANZ, silver – Vodafone and bronze Total.
