TEN students, between the ages of 16 and 19, are alleged to have been involved in a defilement case.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the 10 had been caution interviewed and released.
She said the suspects were from a secondary school in Nasinu.
Ms Naisoro said the victim was also a student.
She confirmed that the incidents occurred sometime between May and June this year.
“The victim is a Year 10 student and the alleged incident came to light when one of the teachers heard rumours whereby she was referred to the principal,” Ms Naisoro said.
Ms Naisoro also said the 10 alleged suspects had committed the offence on three different occasions on the school premises.
The matter was reported to police. She added the investigation file would be forwarded to the Office of the DPP once completed.
