Student in custody for allegedly being in possession of drugs

A STUDENT is in police custody for allegedly being in possession of drugs.

This was confirmed in a police statement today, which states that the 17-year-old of Rewa was arrested by police at Nailaga Street in Narere.

The student was in possession of one white plastic containing 10 10 sachets of dried leaves wrapped in aluminum foil suspected to be marijuana.

Meanwhile the police drug team made five arrests in Syria Park, Nausori this week.

A 29-year-old farmer of Baulevu was arrested for allegedly being in possession six sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Another 29-year-old farmer of Lakena Hill was arrested for allegedly being in possession of six sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

A 23-year-old man of Visama Village was arrested for allegedly being in possession of six sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

A 25-year-old man of Verata, Wailevu was arrested for allegedly being in possession of one sachet of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

A 29-year-old man of Lakena Hill was arrested for allegedly being in possession of 11 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Police said all the suspects are in custody and the drugs have been sent to the analyst.
