ALL women can play a role as strong change agents and innovators in driving a nation’s transition towards green growth and development, says Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Jennifer Poole.

She said the Fiji law, policy and governance to strengthen women’s resilience to climate and disaster risk workshop was designed to build the evidence base to demonstrate that government was strengthened when it had women’s active participation and leadership in climate change and disaster risk management in addition to the green economy to ensure that solutions were relevant to the entire population.

Ms Poole said it was the role of the ministry to ensure inclusivity in government’s legislation and policies.
