STRICT guidelines will be regulated during the Phil’s Autoport North West Billiards and Snooker Association (NWBSA) inaugural rankings championship to maintain professionalism in the sport.

The first NWBSA rankings championship will start in Lautoka this Friday.

Full dress code will apply from round one of the competition with long sleeve shirt, long pants (trousers) and dress shoes being essential.

NWBSA tournament controller Raymond Reddy said a minimum of 24 entries would enable pool play. Reddy said if the number is less then the knockout format will be used.

“For the pool format, the two top players from the eight pools will qualify for the elimination round of 16,” he said.
