THERE is still room for growth in Fiji and Australia’s relationship, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

Speaking during the opening of the 25th Australia Fiji Business Forum in Brisbane, Australia, yesterday, Mr Bainimarama said Fiji was keen to work with Australia to “keep up the momentum” by updating “our” Double Taxation Agreement.

“I’m confident that history will already remember 2019 as a momentous year for the Fiji-Australian friendship,” the Fijian PM said.

In January, Mr Bainimarama’s Australian counterpart Scott Morrison made his first State visit to Fiji.

And last month, Mr Bainimarama made his first official visit to Australia.
