STC Harold: Tavua’s Nasivi river breaks it bank

The Nasivi river in Tavua has broken its bank and floodwaters have spilled onto the main Kings highway.

The Fiji Roads Authority is advising the Tavualevu bridge is underwater and closed to all traffic.

The Kings highway is closed at the bridge.

The Fiji Meteorological Department issued a flash flood warning for low-lying areas, areas adjacent to and downstream of Tavua catchments.
