STC Harold: Patients in Lautoka evacuated for precautionary measures

Patients admitted at the top level of Lautoka hospital have been evacuated to the ground floor for precautionary measures.

The National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) said all COVID-19 cases have been moved to the designated isolation area within the hospital.

NDMO said health officials were on standby to attend to emergency cases.

NDMO also highlighted that Ba Town was still under water and the same was expected in the other low-lying areas.

Meanwhile, a total of 40 evacuation centres are open with 1086 evacuees sheltered in it.
