STC Harold: Australia pledges $350k for relief efforts in Fiji

Hours after Severe Tropical Cyclone Harold exited Fiji waters, the Australian government has pledged an initial $350,000 for the Fijian Government’s relief efforts.

In a tweet on his official Twitter account, Australian High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes commended the Fijian National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and all emergency workers and those in the disciplined services working to keep Fijians safe as the category 4 cyclone wreaked havoc across the country.

Australia and New Zealand have both made known their intentions to assist Fiji during this time.
