They keep talking about the past. This, according to National Federation Party leader Professor Biman Prasad.

In Nadi this week, Prof Prasad said the Government was running out of ideas to improve Fijian livelihoods.

“We are not going into the past because the people need the solutions to our current issues,” he said.

“You know why they want to go to the past? Because they have run out of ideas. They don’t know what to do with the problems we have.

“Whether it’s education, health, poverty, unemployment, roads, water supply, electricity, they are running out of ideas. “They have run out of money.”

Prof Prasad said the Government should talk about current issues affecting Fijians. “This is what they will do between now and the elections,” he said.

“Let me tell you, our people are not fools.

“Our people understand what has happened in this country and where we are. They don’t talk about the disastrous handling of the COVID crisis – 1800 people died directly or indirectly as a result of COVID. “When COVID hit us, they were running around.

“They were all lost. “The Prime Minister was nowhere to be seen.”
