Starting netball dreams

FIJIAN girls eyeing sporting excellence have another chance in playing closure to their goal, thanks to the Grasshoppers Netball Club.

The Suva-based netball club starts organising its 2018 netball coaching clinics todat, Saturday, November 3 at the National Netball Centre at Laucala Bay, Suva.

Club founder Alumeci Hoppers said the clinics for under-12, U14, U16 and U19 girls start tomorrow and end on December 8.

“Registration will start at 9am, choir practice at 9.30am and coaching and training from 11am to 1pm. This also to register your daughters for the Grasshoppers Netball Tournament on December 7-8,” Hoppers said.

Meanwhile, the club teamed up with Peace Corp volunteer Mackenzie Dezieck of the Camp Girls Empowerment Meet to visit Levuka last month in netball coaching to about 60 secondary school girls from schools on Ovalau.
