BURGER King Fiji appreciates determined individuals who can help the company grow.
The company provides equal employment opportunities to individuals who are keen to start a career with the well renowned quick service restaurant.
Burger King Fiji marketing and human resource coordinator Roma Rama said Burger King Fiji had offered every Fijian an opportunity to apply for a job at the Suva outlet by publishing an ad on this newspaper and on their social media handles.
“It was to encourage people to apply for a job. Applications came through and it was screened and shortlisted based on the requirements set by the company,” she said.
“There were more than 100 applicants that applied for the jobs that were advertised and more candidates also attended the 2 walk in interview sessions we had. In the end we recruited 60 crew and five managers based on the restaurant’s operations.
“The recruitment drive was done at the Motibhai Group, Walu Bay office by the human resource team from the Nadi Motibhai head office.”
She said the company looked for self-starters who could do shift work and be a team player.
“Since there were two phases of the recruitment drive, some crew were taken to Nadi to be trained in our Nadi restaurant.
“The whole hired staff received extensive training for over a month. The staff were trained in food preparations and other important business operation processes.”
The staff members were trained by managers from the Nadi restaurants to acquire the basic skills of working in a world class quick service restaurant.
