“WE have been there and done it.”

These were the words of Sokoveti Tamanisau of St. Vincent College from Tailevu as her school prepares for the Tailevu Zone to be held this Friday.

Tamanisau said the female athletes were always reminded of the victory of 2008.

“We won the girls title in the Tailevu Zone back in 2008 and the teachers always shared the stories with us. It gives us the inspiration to repeat that feat and put our school back in that position,” Tamanisau said.

“It will be difficult but it can be achieved.”

The Coca-Cola Games torch relay team visited the school in Tailevu yesterday.

It was tough luck for St Vincent College last year when they did not secure a medal at the Coca Cola Games.
