TEAM Fiji chef-de mission to the Pacific Games Patrick Bower says all sporting federations are well on track in their preparation for the Samoa Pacific Games that will be held from July 7-20 in Apia, Samoa.

Bower said they had been working closely with team managers and officials to make sure everything was followed as planned.

“We are looking closely at the sports that will be represented by Team Fiji,” he said.

“We are ensuring that they are following the guidelines that are required by their sport and what is required by the Pacific Games committee.”

Team Fiji will be holding workshops in the coming weeks, as well as medical tests to ensure each athlete is physically and mentally prepared.

“We will be having an officials meeting where we will get an update on where the teams are at the moment and the progress of team selection and training.”
