After successfully hosting the second Beach, Beats & Eats “A Touch of Latin” event from Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23 the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa are excited to announce the next big event which will be held on Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27 with the “Oktoberfest”.

The resort will be holding a Beach, Beats & Eats event on a monthly basis, with each event having a different theme to keep the concept fresh for guests, staff members and partners.

With the last event having sold out, it is encouraging to see that guests are interested in experiencing and participating in something different when holidaying locally.

The resort is catering the local market by providing interesting and fun activities for this monthly event.

Executive chef, Rudolf Kunkel of Germany is excitedly planning the next event in September with the infamous “Oktoberfest” theme.

With his experience in the German culture and cuisine, it is sure to highlight the event’s authenticity in a Fijian style.

Guests will be able to try traditional German specialties such as bratwurst, sauerkraut, roast pork, German potato salad and pretzels to go along with a selection of beers.

Chef Rudy said “Our guests will get to enjoy something that is different and experience what it is like to be part of the Oktoberfest celebrations.

“It will be authentic and I am happy to share my German culture and cuisine with all our guests.”

Entertainment will be featured throughout the weekend from Friday until Sunday and the resort is also offering early check-in from 5am and late check-out through to 10pm so guests can enjoy the entire weekend and make use of all the facilities the resort has to offer.

The resort is currently offering special local rates for bigger families who are after more space, they are encouraged to take a second room with a 30 per cent discount.

The resort is also offering special packages for dining with their family dinner package for a family of two adults and two children 12 years and under.

Children also stay, play and dine for free for up to two children per room when dining with their parents.
