The Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) will conduct its annual general meeting.

This, according to SODELPA general secretary Lenaitasi Duru.

He said the party would call a board meeting after the 34 constituencies held their AGM which was postponed because of the COVID-19 lockdown last year.

Mr Duru said the AGM was important as it would enable constituencies to nominate their representatives for the upcoming general election.

According to Mr Duru, the president of the Nasinu, Ba East, and Namosi constituencies had resigned from the party and they were working on appointinig new people to the positions.

As a result, the party’s working committee was overseeing operations.

“There are seven members in the working committee and three resigned,” he said.

“I will be sending out a flying minute so that we can get this issue sorted before we begin the AGM for the constituencies.” Mr Duru said the party’s board meeting would be held in March. =
