iTAUKEI landowners need to be very wise in their dealings when giving up their land for development.

This was a reminder from the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) media and research officer, John Sinavi.

Speaking to villagers of Naluwai in Naitasiri on Monday night, Mr Sinavi claimed that land issues had now been politicised.

“Don’t be lured by development. If political parties come to campaign, welcome them but at the same time, be very wary of their policies on land that belongs to the iTaukei. We at SODELPA is fighting for iTaukei land rights,” Mr Sinavi told villagers.
