Leader of Fijian political party SODELPA Viliame Gavoka this afternoon announced their first batch of the 2022 election candidates.
Businesswoman and former parliamentarian Dr Mere Samisoni, 84, and four sitting MPs – that includes Anare Jale, Mikaele Leawere, Tanya Waqanika, and the party leader himself.
Mr Gavoka said to have former parliamentarians like Semesa Karavaki, Ro Kiniviliame Kiliraki and Josefa Dulakiverata in the party was a bonus.
The others include Uraia Rasake, Seremaia Tuiteci, Ilisoni Vuidreketi, Jovilisi Suveinakama, Sitiveni Naciriyawa, Koroi Tuilomaloma, Peni Senikarawa, Ratu Jese Balenaivalu, Sitiveni Vodo, Keni Turagabeci, Paula Navunisaravi, Lydia Eliana Lazel, Jacob Benjamin Lanyon, Umesh Chand, Mereoni Rakatia, Temalesi Rabalolo Dinati, Jese Volau, Tevita Cokanaisigam, and Lepani Toko.
Mr Gavoka told the media today that the board members were happy with the 28 members selected.
