Readers and followers of The Fiji Times are advised there is a Facebook account that looks quite similar to the official account of this newspaper.
The account named “Fiji Times Weekly News” has the same blue background and font as the official The Fiji Times logo.
The Fiji Times editor-in-chief Fred Wesley disassociated the news organisation from the page.
“We do not know who owns the page. It has nothing to do with The Fiji Times,” Wesley said.
“We encourage people interested in our news coverage to visit our official website on www.fijitimes.com or they can get us on Facebook with the handle The Fiji Times.
