Small businesses receive $1k grant in Labasa

OVER 2000 people converged at Labasa’s Subrail Park this morning to witness the disbursement of micro and small business grant cheque of up to $1000.

People braved the heat to wait in line as their name were called from a mistress of ceremonies and busy staff of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ushered recipients in long lines.

Officiating at the disbursement, Minister for Industry and Trade Faiyaz Koya said following today’s disbursement Government had invested approximately $4.6 million into the Fijian economy and the people of Labasa.

“The betterment of lives of every Fijian is the driving force for the Fijian Government,” he said.
