GOVERNMENT’S micro and small business grant has assisted 3815 residents of Seaqaqa since 2015.

Fiji’s Minister for Trade Faiyaz Koya told the 2288 recipients of the same program in Seaqaqa today that such assistance had impacted the lives of 11,440 people.

“The growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), is essential for job creation, income generation, rural development, poverty alleviation and empowerment of youth and women,” he said.

“Therefore, policy interventions have focused on improving the institutional setting, access to finance, business incubation and training and connecting MSMEs to markets.”
