SKY Pacific has introduced a brand new 24-hour Hindi movie channel from today/

The new channel – Star Gold movie channel – will replace B4U Movies on Sky Pacific.

Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Mike Greig said the decision to replace B4U Movies was driven by market demand and Star Gold in a Premium channel.

“Star Gold is the destination for the biggest Bollywood blockbuster premiers in India. It is the channel where the superstars of Bollywood and the best-in-class movies come together providing an exciting channel for our viewers,” Mr Greig said in a statement.

“Our customer research showed that we have a huge following for Bollywood soap operas, music and movies, and we needed to revamp the quality of our 24-hour Hindi movie channel. Star Gold is part of the Star India network of television channels, which is fully owned by 21st Century Fox. It features a mix of contemporary we well as classic movies from the 1950s to the present time. A Hindi movie channel that showcases movies for the entire family.”

Star Gold will replace B4U Movies on Sky Pacific on Channel 54 from today.
