Nadroga escaped the wrath of Lautoka with a 28-26 victory in the final round of the Skipper Cup competition at Lawaqa Park.

Lautoka received a standing ovation despite the loss to come back from a 21-12 in the halftime break and closed the gap in the final whistle 28-26.

Playing their final match in the major division, Lautoka chairman Tevita Momoedonu was proud of his boys for the good game.

“Give your all was my message before the match and I’m glad they showed it on the ground,” said Momoedonu.

Nadroga has 45 points and is presently in second place.
