THE Kainamoli sisters will be carrying on their family tradition as they don the national jersey to represent Fiji in the Samoa 2019 Pacific Games.

Tiyana Kainamoli, 21, and Estelle Kainamoli, 16, are daughters of former Basketball Fiji rep Peniasi Kainamoli who is most commonly known as “Bugsie”.

“It is an honour to be chosen to represent my country once again and with that, to have my sister with me in the national team, is amazing. I know this is just the beginning of our journey together at the national level and I am looking forward to what the outcome is like,” said Tiyana.

“My sister has a lot of potential and with the skills she has, I know she can go forward and achieve greater things.”

The duo first played alongside each other in the U18 Fiji team for the Oceania Championship and this will be the first time for them to represent Fiji in the Pacific Games.
