SEBASTIAN Singh will now face a New Zealand boxer in the Westwood Boxing Promotions program next month.
Promoter, Praneel Dass said the previous scheduled encounter could not proceed with Brent Dames.
Singh was scheduled to fight Dames on February 2 at the Novotel Suva Lami Bay convention centre, but the fight was postponed as team Sniper’s camp said their boxer would not be able to recover on time as they claimed he had dengue fever.
Team sniper had eyed to reschedule the fight to February 16th at the same venue.
Despite the setback, promoter Dass says the boxing program will go ahead.
“I had personally visited Sebastian and he was really sick,” Dass said.
“Boxer got sick he asked for time and they did not give him time.
“They wanted to fight on the 2nd but realistically he cannot fight.
“I mean anyone can get sick but I’m getting someone else from New Zealand.”
Dass said the new opponent would be revealed in the coming days.
