THE president of the Southern Schools Rugby Zones Napolioni Silatolu said the teams in the competition had consistency throughout the season.
Silatolu said he was happy with the standard of competition shown by the schools.
“I think we had good number of teams that played from the beginning until end,” he said.
“It is a good sign for the development.
“We have seen the teams ended up in the final are the teams that played in Lautoka last year.”
He said they would be focusing more on the development of the sport in the zone.
“We have to really look at the development that has been happening in the schools. We will try to make something that would consider other teams in the competition.
“But they really need development with schools like Lomaivuna and Basden.”
Teams battled out for a top place in the zone to qualify for the Deans competition.
Silatolu said the respective schools would now prepare for the national competition.
“We have schools that did well in development like Marist and John Wesley.
