Sigatoka murder suspects remanded

A couple who are charged for the alleged murder of an 18-year-old student found dead outside a home in Maro, Sigatoka last month have been remanded in custody

Mohammed Naushad and Nazreen Nisha Khan, husband and wife appeared at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court before Magistrate Joseph Daurewa today, each charged with one count of murder.

Mr Naushad is also charged for the offence of criminal intimidation.

Magistrate Daurewa has ordered for the couple to be remanded and the matter has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court for mention on July 25.
