THE chief executive officer of Sigatoka Town Council has resigned.

Tulsi Ram has handed his one-month notice to the Ministry of Local Government.

Mr Ram, who was also responsible for the Rakiraki Town Council, had handed over the management of the council to the Special Administrator Mark Hirst two weeks ago.

“Age has caught up with me and I need to rest and stay with my family. It’s all due to personal reasons,” said Mr Ram.

He has spent 19 years working in most of the town councils in Fiji.

The Ministry of Local Government had advertised the positions of CEO for all town councils recently and appointments are expected to made by the special administrators soon.
