A TOTAL of $3500 was given by Shipping Services Fiji Ltd to the Fiji Cancer Society during the Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea at their office in Lami on Friday.

Company director Seruwaia Hong-Tiy said this was the fourth year the organisation was helping the Fiji Cancer Society. “We have been doing this for four years now with hosting a morning tea for the Fiji Cancer Society,” Ms Hong-Tiy said.

She said the money raised would go towards those cancer patients who needed extra support.

“One of the areas that the funds would be used on is the transportation from their homes to the hospital for their clinics,” she said.

“Whatever the funds are being used on, we know that it is well used.”

She said the company looked forward to helping the Fiji Cancer Society in the future.

“Yes, we are looking forward to assisting them and next year again we will have another morning tea,” she said.

“We’ve had family members and good friends who have died through cancer and we realise how pertinent it is to give your support, which is the main thing.”
