Service to the people

AS part of efforts to improve service delivery, officials of the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority (FRCA) took their services down to the people when they organised an open day at Sukuna Park in Suva yesterday.
Also in line with the World Customs Day celebration, FRCA believed it was best to take its services to the people apart from its office.
The authority said the event was not only for parents to take advantage of but also for the children to enjoy as amusement rides and other exciting activities were on offer for them at the park.
Hundreds of people flocked to the park to take advantage of the services such as the joint FNPF and FRCA card and TIN letter.
“A lot of people come to visit us on weekdays in the office and we decided that it was best for the officials to step out of the office and bring our services closer to the people,” the authority said.
“Most of those that are here today are making use of the joint card services and this is a good sign.”
FRCA marked the World Customs Day with the CEO’s forum on Friday followed by the open day yesterday.
