Fijiana 15s coach Senirusi Seruvakula weaves another magic this afternoon by fielding the Fijiana 7s reps from the Commonwealth Games against Canada at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this evening.

He has fielded the reps in the run-on team and from the bench against the No.3 team in the world to test them before the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand next month.

“Four of them will be in the starting line-up with Lavena Cavuru at nine, Sesenieli Donu at 13, Ana Maria Naimasi having to pair with Vitalina Naikore on the wing and Alowesi Nakoci at fullback,” Seruvakula said.

“Raijeli Daveua and Rusila Nagasau will start from the bench as forwards. They give more firepower from the bench and I can’t wait to see them play with the girls we already have.”

He said the 7s reps would add firepower and strike to the team.

“They are not new to sevens. It’s gonna be the battle of forwards against Canada. I believe in these girls and they will be strong in the scrums and lineout.”

He commended the visitors for helping Fiji prepare for her first RWC.

“We don’t look at Canada as No.3 in the world. We look at them as an opposition. This is big for us to prepare against England.

“They are an international team that has been playing in a lot of competitions. That is how we will gauge ourselves.”

Meanwhile, skipper Sereima Leweniqila leads the Fijiana which has Joana Rubuti and Mereoni Vonosere at props. Hooker is Bitila Tawake.

Asinate Serevi and Merevesi Ofakimalino are the locks with Karalaini Naisewa and Ema Adivitaloga as flankers. Leweniqila leads from the back of the scrum.

Inside centre is Raijeli Laqeretabua, rover Donu, fullback is Nakoci.
