Seruiratu thanks World Food Program

Update: 2:55PM THE Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu has thanked the World Food Program for the assistance it provided to Fiji in the wake of Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.
While attending a meeting in Bangkok, Thailand last week, Mr Seruiratu paid a courtesy call to the WFP deputy regional director for Asia and the Pacific, Parvathy Ramaswami.
Mr Seruiratu said the assistance rendered by WFP was timely especially with the Top-Up Cash Support to support families affected by Winston.
“Fiji is indeed grateful to the WFP for coming to the fore and offering to assist the economically disadvantaged when Fiji needed it most,” he said.
