Serua woman believed to be latest road fatality

A 40-YEAR-OLD woman died, allegedly from injuries sustained when the vehicle she was travelling in struck steel railings by the side of the road in Naevuevu, Sigatoka, yesterday morning.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim, from Navutulevu, Serua, was travelling with four others in a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old female student when the incident happened.
Ms Naisoro said the victim was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital but pronounced dead-on-arrival.
She said the driver remains in custody and investigations are continuing.
