Serevi says high possibility Fiji can defend title

Fiji 7s maestro Waisale Serevi still believes there is a high possibility of bringing back the Olympic Games gold medal in Tokyo.

After having recently arrived back in the country on a personal trip, one of his first stops was visiting the Fijian 7s warriors during their training sessions in both the west and Suva.

“I believe that we have a good chance of retaining the gold medal,” Serevi said. “Even though I have not been long in the country, I have seen the boys and they are working hard.”

“Like any other team we are part of the top four or five teams that have a chance at winning the gold medal at the Olympics.

“The chance is there and we have a great opportunity.”
