A 69-YEAR-OLD man charged with the murder of an 83-year-old man appeared at the High Court in Suva today.
Jone Durukula appeared before judge Justice Daniel Goundar facing a charge of murder.
It is alleged that on December 29, 2019, in Levuka, Mr Durukula punched the victim on his head that resulted in his death after two days.
State lawyer Sheenal Swastika told the court that the prosecution needed time to decide whether they were going to charge the accused.
The accused was remanded.
The case has been adjourned to February 14 for mention.
