Senimili wins gold in Nauru

SENIMILI Turner has continued to show top form when she won a gold medal at the Nauru Invitational Powerlifting Championship in Nauru yesterday.

Senimili was among women from countries outside of Nauru who came to participate and celebrate Nauru’s 50th anniversary.

Fiji Powerlifting Federation president Eric Jioje said it was a proud moment for Senimili as she continued to put Fiji’s name on the world map when it came to the sport of powerlifting.

Jioje said there was huge support from the Fijian community in Nauru for Senimili during competition.
