Secondary school hockey: Levuka Public through to semis

DEFENDING champions of the U16 Girls division Levuka Public School is through to the semi-final of the Fiji Secondary School Hockey Super 8 National Finals underway at the National Hockey Centre in Suva.

The side defeated Tilak High School 1-0, Suva Grammar School 2-nil, while their match against Sangam Sadhu Kuppuswamy Memorial College ended in a nil-all draw.

LPS topped its pool while SSKMC finished second.

The qualifiers from Pool B are yet to be confirmed as pool matches continue.

Meanwhile, in the U19 boys grade matches from this morning, THS beat LPS 1-nil while SGS defeated Gospel High School 2-nil.

In the girls division, LPS won by default over LMS while SSKMC beat Tilak High School 1-nil.

Pool matches continue today while the semi-finals and final will be played tomorrow.
