Well-known Chinese seafood restaurant with dine-in restaurants in Suva and Nadi are now to set to expand their presence in the Northern Division with their first establishment opening early next year.
Shanghai Seafood Restaurant this week signed up with the Damodar Group of Companies to lease restaurant space at their $50 million Damodar City Labasa complex.
A statement from the Damodar Group said the owners of Shanghai Seafood restaurant, Joe (Zhou) Jianxin and Frances Jianxin, visited the Damodar City Labasa site several weeks ago and were captivated with the potential that Labasa had for a good seafood restaurant.
The Damodar City Labasa’s manager Projects for Development and Leasing, Cornelia Smith said the Centre had created a fine-dining precinct with three large restaurants to specialise in different cuisines – Chinese, Indian and Continental.
Ms Smith said the fine-dine precinct was located near the supermarket on the first floor that would provide views of the Centre and offer some privacy from the ground floor high foot-traffic areas.
The other dining location at Damodar City Labasa is an 8-outlet foodcourt that will be located on the ground floor beside the cinemas.
