Sea Eagles survive

NAMUANIWAQA Sea Eagles survived a tough Army Bears onslaught to secure a narrow 12-10 win in the FNRL senior reserve semi-final at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park yesterday.
The Ra-based side played their hearts out to deny the Bears the win.
Sea Eagles coach Mosese Beitaki said the will to win inspired his troops to deliver the goods.
He said his players defended bravely and comradely worked together to survive the contest.
“We have prepared well for this game and we are happy that hard work has been awarded,” said Beitaki.
“It was a tough and physical battle which inspired our boys to give their best.
“I thank the boys for a gallant performance. ‘
He said the win had secured his team its first final.
“We only reached the quarter-finals in the past years and I commended the boys for their effort to secure our first ever final.
‘”Despite the win there are still rooms for improvement which we need to work on before the final,” he added.
The side is made up of ordinary village boys and farmers in Ra.
Meanwhile, in the other exciting semi-final, Police Sharks defeated Ravoravo Rabbitohs 12-10.
The Sharks will face the Sea Eagles in next week’s final.
