Schools rugby powers on

THE Powerade Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union (EZSSRU) competition is expected to continue its weekly fixtures this week, despite the unfavourable weather facing the country. The union is part of the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSRU). This was revealed yesterday by EZSSRU president Solomone Seru.

“Games will continue this weekend and there hasn’t been any cancellation from participating schools, ” Seru said.

“The competition level is intensifying and the 10 schools from the zone are eager to be part of the finals in their respective grades.”

Meanwhile, in the under-14 grade, Queen Victoria School (QVS) will host Lelean Memorial School (LMS), U15: Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) faces St John’s College (SJC), Tailevu North College (TNC) to meet Sila Central and QVS takes on Levuka Public School (LPS), U16: LMS versus QVS, U17: QVS vs RKS, TNC meets Vunimono High School (VHS), Sila Central faces SJC. In the U18 grade RKS will host SJC and LMS plays QVS.
