The school term for Fiji’s Year 12 and 13 students will commence from November 1 until January 28, 2022.

Minister for EducationPremila Kumar said external examinations for the two grades had been scheduled to begin on January 17, 2022.

She said the Christmas and New Year holidays for students would be from December 23 to January 3, 2022.

She said classes for Years 12 and 13 would resume on January 4, 2022.

“We expect the results to be out by mid-March 2022,” Ms Kumar said.

“This timing is based on the assumption that there will be no cyclones given that this is the cyclone season.

“We will have to make necessary adjustments to the school term if we are hit by any cyclone or any other calamity.

“The ministry is in dialogue with the universities on possible start dates for their 2022 academic year.”
